Gilboa-Conesville Central School

The Gilboa-Conesville Central School is pleased to announce that on October 13th, 2020, we will be bringing back our elementary students in grades UPK through 6, five days a week. In addition, beginning October 13th, 2020, we will be bringing back our middle and high school students in grades 7 through 12, on an every other day rotation (three grades per day) More details for both the elementary and secondary schedules will be released during the week of October 2nd, 2020. We appreciate the patience of all of our families during this difficult period. As well, we would like to recognize all of the hard work done by all GCCS staff as we readied the building for safe student return.

Good Morning GCCS Families, This morning, we had our first successful lockdown drill of the year, and our faculty and staff did an excellent job following the GCCS lockdown safety protocol. A lockdown describes security measures taken to protect against potential intruders that may threaten the safety of our students, faculty and staff. School administrators, staff, students, and parents, all have roles and responsibilities to support and implement the lockdown drill protocol to help prevent the risk of harm to anyone in the building should a violent or serious incident occur. We thank all of you for your continued cooperation.

We would like to take an opportunity to thank all of our GCCS students, families, teachers and staff for their hard work and commitment thus far with the online learning. We are all working hard to get the building ready for the return of our students. All of you have given true meaning behind the saying, "The Sun always shines in Gilboa!" We are Wildcat strong! Below is the latest sports update from the Delaware League's president Jamie Harter: "The Delaware League, after much deliberation during today's meeting with Athletic Directors, Superintendents, and Section 4 representatives, has suspended the fall sports season until further notice". Updated schedules which include specials (Art, Music and PE) and electives have been mailed home. Students will have classes every day during remote learning. Period times are listed on the new schedules. The first day of school will be a Day C, the second will be a Day D and so on continuing with the A-J pattern we have always had. Please do not hesitate to contact the Guidance Office if you have any questions or need to make changes to your schedule.
