Modified Girls
The GCR modified girls came out strong Monday night as they had a rematch with Hunter. The girls led 6-4 after the 1st quarter and to expand their lead the rest of the game. The girls played aggressive defense and pushed the ball down the lane to hit layups or draw fouls. Brooke Brandow led the team with 12 points, while Hailey Maxim, Madison Weldon, Mackenzie Cummings, and Riley Clum balanced out the scoring with 4 points each. Peyton Ballard added another bucket to get the team to finish with 30 points over Hunter’s 15. The girls are looking forward to their rematch against Stamford/Jefferson on Wednesday at Gilboa. Nice win GCR!
Modified Boys
In Monday night’s game against Hunter, the GCR boys had an explosive start finishing the first half with a score of 25-7. Hunter played hard and added a few points to the scoreboard but couldn’t come out on top. The GCR boys added 21 more points in the second half, finishing the game with a score of 46-27. Preston Bruck lit up the scoreboard with 16 points, followed by Logan Mattice with 10 points and William Proudman with 9. Brayden Hubbard, Eric Hejnal, Kyle Speenburgh, Kaleb Vamosy and Chris Cox also added a few points to the board. Great job boys! 
Come cheer on the boys as they play for redemption at Stamford Jefferson on Wednesday at 5pm.
