Bat Boxes & Biodiversity: Students Help Local Wildlife

πŸ¦‡ Our 10th Grade Environmental Science class has officially completed their Bat Boxes!
Some students will take their boxes home, while others will install theirs right here on school property. To attract bats, these boxes must be mounted at least 10 feet high in trees πŸŒ³β€” creating a safe space for bats to roost, including potential "maternity boxes" for moms and their pups! πŸ‘ΆπŸ¦‡
It might take up to a year for bats to settle in, but one sign they’ve moved in? Look for guano (bat droppings) beneath the box! πŸ’©πŸ”
A great hands-on project helping both our students and local wildlife thrive! 🐾🌍
