Modified Boys Baseball

The modified boys baseball team defeated Milford 16–14 in an exciting season finale on 5/26. The team’s bats were hot, with Mackey Porter and Devon Zambri each recording multi-hit games. The game was tied 13–13 heading into the final inning when Eric Hejnal hit a triple to give the team the lead. Jakob Rosa finished strong on the mound to secure the win and help the modified boys end their season on a high note.

Varsity Girls Softball

Congratulations to the GCR Varsity Girls softball team for their come from behind victory over Davenport/Schenevus in the quarterfinal round of the Section 4 Softball Tournament. The team rallied from 4 runs down in the last couple of innings to pull out the 9-7 victory. The team moves on to the semi-final round on Thursday (5/28) at Windham. Good luck to the GCR team as they look to advance further in the tournament.

Varsity Boys Baseball

Well, what a game last night in SK! The boys fell behind early, but came roaring back in a good old fashioned donnybrook to win 20 to15. Garrison Ross picked up the win. He also had 3 hits, and 4RBI's. Will Proudman had 3 hits: one that was a double, and 3 runs scored. Gavin Morales had a bases clearing triple for 3 RBI's. Preston Bruck had 3 runs scored. David Cammer had 2 hits and 2RBI's. Gavin Bohringer had a double and 1RBI. Marek Voeks had the game winner on a bases loaded double, clearing them for 3

RBI's. Erik Pettersen had 2 hits as well.

We now play in the Section 4 Championship on Friday (tomorrow) in Sidney at 5 pm.
