🌍 Earth Day at NYPA Blenheim-Gilboa Visitor's Center! 🌿

What an incredible day for our GCCS Elementary students! On June 17th, all of our PreK–6th graders headed to the NYPA Blenheim-Gilboa Visitor's Center for a full morning of Earth Day learning and fun — and it did NOT disappoint! 🎉
Students rotated through five amazing stations:
⚡ Visitor Center Theater – Catching an exciting show downstairs about energy and our environment, as well as safety with electricity
🔍 Visitor Center Exhibits – Exploring hands-on displays upstairs (those hard hats were a hit!)
🌾 Wetlands – Getting up close with nature on a guided outdoor walk
🕹️ Outdoor Games – Team challenges with croquet, , giant Jenga and Connect Four, and a web-of-life activity connecting us all
🌳 Pavilion Lunch – Fueling up and enjoying the fresh air together
It was a day full of curiosity, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation for our planet. A huge thank you to the NYPA team for welcoming us and making Earth Day 2026 so memorable! 💚
