GCR Fall Sports Update: JV Boys Soccer

GCR JV boys soccer opened their season hosting Unatego/Franklin on Thursday afternoon. It was a well played match that was led off by a U/F goal early in the first. Our boys then locked in and went on to score 5 unanswered during the remainder of the match. Scoring was well balanced with Oleska Kutcher, Kaleb Vamosy, Colin Tyree, Dylan Boringer and Cole Ritter all scoring their first goals of the season. Assists were made by Voytek Meli, Colin Tyree, Mack Porter and Logan Mattice. Defense was solid throughout the game and our defensive unit anchored by our sweeper Vinnie Miraglio and goalie Cole Sweezy proved too much for our opponents. Great job by the entire team! Next match is at Oppenheimer-Ephratah / St. Johnsville on Sept 9 at 4:30.
