GCCS Good News: Food and Nutrition Students Learn Food Safety

Junior Andre Mattice and sophomore Zeben Burch have been studying kitchen and food safety and learning about various kitchen appliances and tools and how to use them. They were able to interview Danielle Proudman, the cafeteria manager, about how food safety is implemented in our school cafeteria and food preparation. She also talked about her college and career experience in the food industry and some of the more challenging aspects of her job today. The students were then challenged to create public service announcements to help keep our community safe when preparing food. They were able to choose what format to present their information in and here are the final products for the community.
